Elite Planter (22")

At 22 inches tall, this Elite Planter sits right in the middle of the range. It has the same tapered profile as its siblings, wider at the top and slimmer at the foot. A 4.5-gallon nursery pot fits into the recessed liner pocket and rests below the rim. You see the plant and the planter, never the plastic pot inside.

This size suits most porches and patios. Its 14.75-inch opening and 12.75-inch depth are a good match for boxwoods, hydrangeas, ferns, herbs or a seasonal mix of flowers. It's tall enough to look substantial beside a door, yet the 19.25-inch footprint still fits on a standard step or a narrow porch without crowding foot traffic.

Planting takes minutes. Buy a plant in a 4.5-gallon nursery pot, set it into the pocket and water as usual. When it's time for something new, pull that pot and drop in a fresh one. Your roots stay undisturbed, and you skip the mess of scooping soil out of a planter. Rotating spring bulbs, summer blooms and fall mums becomes simple.
