Our cushions use solution-dyed outdoor fabrics, where the color is added to the fiber before it is woven rather than printed onto finished cloth. This is what gives outdoor fabric its fade resistance, and it also means the material can be cleaned aggressively without stripping the color. Each listing names the specific fabric collection and colorway.
Our cushions are built to handle sun and the occasional rain shower, and the fills are designed to drain and dry rather than hold water. For the longest life, we still recommend bringing them in or storing them in a deck box during extended wet weather and over the winter. Fabric that is rated for outdoor use lasts considerably longer when it is not left soaking for weeks.
For routine cleaning, brush off loose dirt and wash with mild soap and lukewarm water, then rinse thoroughly and let the cushion air dry completely before storing it. Avoid putting covers in a hot dryer, which can shrink them and make refitting difficult. For stubborn stains or mildew, check the manufacturer's care instructions on the product listing first.
